Show for adults, kids, and new album!

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Muskoka Chautauqua for the beautiful sold-out show last night. We cannot express how much joy we feel being able to perform for you all again, and this is an organization that understands the value of creating community through music, and continues through the weekend.

Today at 4:00 PM our good friend and long-time collaborator Amanda Martinez is performing outdoors at the Burlington PAC series Jazz on the Plaza. The band features Sultans of String superstars Kevin Laliberté, Drew Birston, and Rosendo ‘Chendy’ Leon. A great opportunity to see them perform in another context, with a fantastic singer!

Later this month Sultans of String perform at UNION SUMMER – a free celebration of the arts at Union Station on Aug 21. We are excited to perform with our collaborator from our Sanctuary album Saskia Tomkins on Nyckelharpa! https://torontounion.ca/events/union-summer-sultans-of-string/

Dedicated to reaching out to young people, we have a few shows coming up for kids as well, interspersed in our regular programming. If you have kids or grandkids, check out more details here! http://fiddlefire.com

And finally, thanks to all who have contributed to our IndieGoGo campaign so far for our upcoming album of collaborations with First Nations, Metis, and Inuit artists across Turtle Island/Canada. We are so grateful for your support thus far! We’re making this album in the spirit of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action, and Final Report that asks for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to work together as an opportunity to show a path forward.
