We just received the amazing news that our Sultans of String: The Refuge Project – Visual Album made it into the Cannes World Film Festival!

We are so honoured to be able to amplify the personal stories of so many fantastic musicians in our midst, many of whom have come to Canada and the US as refugees and new immigrants, as well as essential Indigenous voices. Thanks to all of you for sharing your journey! Please check out all our amazing collaborators at these links:

We are very excited to be performing in Boston this weekend!  Ticket links at bottom of email;

Saturday night is a very special fundraiser by Literacy Movement 4 More – an event to build bridges through the universal language of music. A unique blend of music and storytelling, the concert will showcase accomplished musicians, university & Boston Public School students, and adults who care. Sultans of String are performing alongside Dana Masters and Mary Fahl!

Sunday we are returning to the Extended Play Sessions at The Fallout Shelter. This is a super cool venue that has intimate seating but is also a concert video taping session! We will be performing songs from our Sanctuary (The Refuge Project) album. This photo below is from the last time we were there!

If you live near Flato Markham Theatre, we are happy to offer a bunch of complimentary pairs of tickets to the awards ceremony that takes place at the theatre on October 18. Just reply to this email with MARKHAMCOMPS (all one word) in the subject heading. While supplies last. This is not a full concert, but we are happy to be playing a few songs and celebrating the arts community in Markham (and apparently being awarded with something??)

Our Indigenous Collaborations album fundraiser is ongoing! Pictured below is our recording session with The North Sound.  If you have not seen it yet – please check out our IndieGoGo video at https://igg.me/at/sultansCD

Many thanks!!
