OTTAWA – TORONTO – COLLINGWOOD – WATERLOO – HAMILTON – HERE WE COME!
Hey all, we are pretty excited to return to my original home town of Ottawa this weekend for the Canadian Folk Music Awards! Sultans of String are up for Ensemble of the Year with our Walking Though the Fire Project on Friday Night, and then on Saturday we are showing the film of the same name at The Mayfair Theatre. Come check it out – we mixed it in 5.1 just for the occasion!
If you have never seen the film trailer you can check it out here
We are also performing Walking Though the Fire LIVE at one of our very favourite venues, Kingston Road Village Concert Series, in a warm and wonderful church in Toronto’s east end. Joining our regular crew is the fabulous Dr. Duke Redbird and two time World Champion hoop dancer Lisa Odjig, who needs to be seen to be believed!
We are also performing this live in Collingwood, and showing the film in Waterloo, so lots of opportunities to take it in!
NEW SHOW ADDED:
We have been chosen again this year as a Hamilton Arts Week Signature Event, and will be performing LIVE along with nyckelhapra virtuoso Saskia Tomkins! As this is happening at the glorious Westdale Theatre we will be delivering an immersive experience by adding cool visuals to the concert!
AND FOR THE KIDS
I have a few super fun kids shows coming up. Check out https://www.fiddlefire.com/ for details
The next one is in Burlington on May 4 – mark your calendars for this free family event and there will be a registration link coming in the next couple days.
As always, I am super grateful for you following our journey – thanks for your support!!
