Ottawa, Quebec, Windsor, and JUNO Awards
Hello everyone and welcome to new subscribers! Thanks to those who attended our sold out Little Leaf CD Release last week – click on this to see if you you can spot yourself in this Facebook reel:
Ottawa, Hudson QC, Windsor
Just a quick note on our upcoming month… there are just a small handful of tickets left for our concert in Ottawa on March 22. This is a great opportunity to see me, Kevin, and Saskia with her amazing Nyckelharpa up close in the intimate setting of Red Bird Live.
Then a sold out show in Perth before hitting Hudson QC on March 24 and 25, where we are screening our Walking Through the Fire film AND a live concert the next day!
Later in the month we have two concerts April 18-19 with Windsor Symphony. This was the first orchestra that nurtured us into the symphonic realm so we are very excited to join them again along with our fabulous Indigenous collaborators.
JUNO Awards
and exciting news that I am attending the JUNO Awards on March 28 where I am up for CHILDREN’S ALBUM OF THE YEAR . Tell me which suit you prefer for the red carpet? and if you have not heard the album yet, you can stream it here https://ChrisMcKhool.lnk.to/Album
You can also catch me on CBC’s Fresh Air very early in the morning on April 28, (6:00-7:00 hour) playing a couple songs from Little Leaf live on air, and later that morning performing at the sold out JUNIOR JUNOS concert! More info about kids music at https://fiddlefire.com/

Thanks to The JUNO Awards for this larger than life honour in my hometown City of Burlington,
And to Canada Council for the Arts and Ontario Arts Council for supporting Little Leaf !

SO grateful to Festivals & Events Ontario for this award for Children’s Entertainer of the Year! I am really blown away by the hard work and dedication of Festivals and Events, and I feel so honoured to be able to create and perform music for family audiences!

Thanks for reading and for those who have children at home, have an amazing March Break!
– Chris
