And with the world being as crazy as it is, Live Music is the best way to bring folks from all kinds of backgrounds together to have a shared experience and celebrate beauty together, transcending language, fostering empathy, and breaking down our social divides!

I have a rare DUO concert with the magical Kevin Laliberté this Sunday May 31, at the Ottawa Tennis Club! This is a chance to hear the “best of” from the last 20 years of me and Kevin, stripped down to the essentials. “Fiery fiddle dances with kinetic guitar, laying down unstoppable grooves and painting soundscapes that seem impossible to be coming from just two people.”

TORONTO LUMINATO – JUNE 6 – FREE

Celebrate the land we live on, the air we breathe, and the water we drink. Celebrate the voices that have echoed long before ours.

In this daylong celebration of earth, water and community, The Power of the Land invites audiences into the cultural teachings of Turtle Island, led and curated by Elder Duke Redbird (Ojibwe/ Saugeen First Nation), featuring artist and ancestral knowledge keeper, Philip Cote (Ojibwe/Moose Deer Point), Sultans of String, The North Sound, Don Ross, Marc Meriläinen, Alyssa Katrine, Shannon Thunderbird, SHUB, along with virtual guests Angela Amarualik, Leela Gilday, Northern Cree. Based on the Indigenous ecological knowledge system of the lunar calendar, you will be immersed in traditional and contemporary Indigenous art, including processional performances, interactive works, ceremony, and musical acts from the award-winning album Walking Through The Fire.

This is the biggest production of Walking Through the Fire to date, and also screening our film! Come with an open heart and prepare to be filled with all day FREE programming.
