New Family Album/Video, and Christmas Tour!
Hello friends!
Thanks to everyone who came out on Halloween to celebrate the release of our new Family album called GLOBAL DANCE PARTY!
It is a joyful, rhythm-filled celebration of world music, storytelling, and the power of making music together. The journey also celebrates cultural discovery, imagination, and the natural world. “L’arbre dans ses feuilles” embraces French-Canadian musical traditions, while “Somewhere, Anywhere” delights in the absurdity and silliness of A.A. Milne-inspired poetry. “Brand New Day” and “Our Planet Earth” continue mylongstanding celebration of the environment, while “Breathe (The Sky of a Billion Years)” features a beautiful poem by longtime collaborator and Indigenous Elder Dr. Duke Redbird, offering a moment of reflection and connection to the world around us.
The album features an outstanding ensemble of musicians, including Kevin Laliberté on guitar, Saskia Tomkins on fiddle, Drew Birston on bass, and Marito Marques on drums, joined by a full horn section. Mixed in Dolby Atmos by Grammy-winning engineer John “Beetle” Bailey, Global Dance Party! delivers a vibrant, immersive musical experience for family listening.
This was a super fun and special album to make, and if you have kids or grandkids in your life, CDs are available for shipping in Canada at this link: https://fiddlefire.com/2026/10/global-dance-party-2/
